We participate in the AWAY program!
A.W.A.Y. means “Always Welcome at YMCAs”. The A.W.A.Y. program is based on the philosophy that when a person enrolls in a YMCA, he or she becomes a member of a nationwide association of people that help build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Therefore, when away from home, members on business or vacation, will be warmly welcomed by all other participating YMCAs in the United States.
The YMCA of the Shoals recognizes YMCA AWAY privileges. YMCA AWAY members temporarily visiting from out of town may use our YMCA for 10 visits in a calendar year. A fee of $10.00 per visit will be charged after 10 free visits. YMCA AWAY guests must present a valid membership card from their home YMCA and a driver’s license.
